FOCUS 418
offsite events, Winter 2006
"Trivia Night Fundraiser Details"
- Students can contact members of the congregation,
friends' parents, parent's coworkers, people in the neighborhood, etc.
to form tables. Checks should be made out to Webster Gardens with the
memo "Trivia Night" and the student's name who recruited them.
- Best way to recruit is to have someone "buy" a table
for $100 and then they can recruit their friends or small group to fill
a table of 8. If someone wants to come individually rather than buy a
table, the cost is $15. Payment should be at church by January 30 2006
- Students who recruit a table or individual will
"keep" 80% of the cost (have it in their account for event they wish to
go on), whether they work at the event or not.
- Students who work at the event will make the hourly rate for fundraisers, based on the amount of funds raised this year.
- Popcorn, Soda and water is provided. Tables are encouraged to bring their own snacks and decorations.
- The funds raised will be used for different valuable
events. Two notable events to mention when recruiting tables are the
Bethesda Servant Event (students spend a week in Wisconsin helping
physically and cognitively disabled campers) and the Gulf Coast Mission
Trip (helping clean up and rebuild in Mississippi and Louisiana in the
wake of the flooding and hurricanes).
